Savannah's Trainer Debut at FCHJA

Feb 1 marked the beginning of Savannah Schlueter, Michelle's daughter, taking over the lesson horse program at the farm and officially becoming Michelle's assistant. Her first show with clients was FCHJA and boy did they make it count! What a way to begin your career! We couldn’t be more proud!

Mary Crawford and Confidant were Champion in the 2’6” jumpers and fourth in the classic.
Matthew and Simon Says were Reserve Champion in the walk division.
Abby and Pocket Full of Posies were 1,3,5 in the w/t 10 to 14.
Kiley and Pocketful of Posies were 5,5 in the w/t 9 and under.
Claire and Mr. Fabio were 2nd in the novice hunter.

WOWed by WEC!

What a week it was at WORLD EQUESTRIAN CENTER! This place, WOW is all we can say! There was certainly a learning curve in getting to know the layout of the huge facility and understanding how everything worked, but we figured it all out with the help of our entire barn family! All the classes were huge, so even earning a ribbon was an impressive accomplishment! We can’t wait to come back with another big group in March!

Here's how we did:

Pause for Fame and Katie won the HUGE low first child/adult class and had a heart breaking rail in the classic’s first round.
Emerald City was was 2,4,4, in the NSBA hunters with Michelle and Reserve Champion in the Long Stirrup hunter with his new mom, Amelia, at their first show.
A Lacey Remembrance and Sam were second and fifth in the .65 open and low child/adult jumper division.
Ooh La La ribboned in the baby greens with Michelle and pre children’s with Mary Kate but those gorgeous indoor arenas were very spooky for many horses.
Stark and Ellie got ribbons all week in a very competitive low adult jumper section and were seventh in the child/adult classic.
White Diamonds and Mary Kate got top ribbons in both the 3’ equitation and Children’s Hunters at their very first big show at that height!
Belle and Isla debuted in the lead line class in style and earned a beautiful blue ribbon!
Finally we helped out a dear friend in need. Stillman and Courtney were seventh in the high adult jumpers in the uber cool derby ring, that looks like a stadium!

What a great show we had at MSC in Ocala!

Michelle & Emerald City swept their division and earned Champion again at his second show ever in the 2’3” Green Hunters. This baby horse is amazing!
Mary Kate & White Diamonds were Champion in the 3’ Children’s Hunter and Reserve Champion in the 3’ Equitation. This was MK's first time showing at 3'!
Amelia and Lightly Frosted were Reserve Champion in the 3’ Children’s Hunter and earned top ribbons in the 3’ Equitation.
Sam and A Lacey Remembrance did fantastic courses were 2nd and 6th in the 2’3” Jumpers.
Claire and Quarter Pounder were 4th in the 2’ Jumpers for Claire’s very first time showing in jumpers.

Thanks to Erin for her help at the show and for cheering the team on after her horse bruised his foot and couldn’t show.

M&M Goes to Wellington!

November 24-29, 2020

Michelle & Emerald City were CHAMPION in the USHJA 2’3” hunters at his VERY FIRST horse show and he’s only FOUR years old!! Way to set the bar, Toto! Michelle & Lightly Frosted were Reserve Champion in young hunters 3’3”. Michelle & Ooh La La were 2,3,5 in the competitive USHJA 2’6” Hunters!

Mary Kate & Amelia joined Michelle to show in the Children's divisions over the weekend. Mary Kate & White Diamonds earned top ribbons in every class in the extremely competitive Children's Low Hunters 2'6", including a top 5 ribbon in one of their over fences classes! Amelia and Frosty also earned top ribbons in the very competitive Children's Hunter 3' division and they earned 6th place in the 3' Hunter Classic against the combined age groups.

It was a very successful and fun time for all, and there was even some time to watch the Grand Prix with many of the top riders in the world competing!

This past weekend's show was the last for the FCHJA 2020 series and the M&M team didn’t disappoint!!

Savannah and Lightly Frosted were Champion in the 3’ Open Hunter and swept the division!! (And she beat her mom!)
Mary Kate and White Diamonds were Champion in the 2’6” Pre-Children’s Equitation and won the Hunter under saddle and earned 3rd over fences.
Sam and A Lacy Remebrance were Champion in the 2’3” Novice Jumpers and 3rd in the Jumper Medal in a huge class!
Mark & Confidant came in second in a class of 22 riders in the 2’6” Jumper Classic.
Michelle and Ooh La La were Reserve Champion in the 2’9” Open Hunter.
Erin and A Pocket Full of Posies earned top ribbons in Crossrail Hunter and Equitation.

What another fantastic show for our barn family! We also got to celebrate Mary Kate's 16th birthday!

Halloween Fun and Wins at HSITP!

What a FUN Halloween show we had at Horse Shows in the Park this past weekend. There were so many fun costumes (on horses and humans!) and the kids had a blast trick-or-treating from barn to barn on Halloween. Besides the fun, we also got some great horse show time in with lots of big wins and ribbons!

Katie and Pause for Fame had an amazing weekend, finishing champion in the 1.0M adult jumpers, winning 3 out of 4 of the classes in her division!
In her second show ever in the US, at a typically very “scary” venue for horses, Ooh La La and Michelle earned Reserve Champion in Training Hunter in a large division.
Michelle and Quarter Pounder were Reserve Champion in Training Jumpers.
Amelia and Lightly Frosted earned top ribbons in classes of 17 riders in the 2’9” Low Children’s Hunter & Eq and Amelia moved up to the 3’ Children’s division with Frosty on Sunday, earning top ribbons again and taking 2nd place in equitation over fences!
Erin and Pocket Full of Posies earned top ribbons in large classes in the Crossrails division after a last minute horse change and only a day of practice.
Little Isla also earned a ribbon for participating in a costumed leadline class with her mom and Sadie (Pause for Fame).

What a fun weekend with great riding by all!

WOW, what an incredible day the M&M team had at the FCHJA show! It was an extremely busy show with most classes having 15+ riders, making it a success to even get into the ribbons!

Here's how our team did at the show:

Mark & Confidant were Champion in the 2’6” Jumpers and won the classic!
Lauren and Pocket Full of Posies were Champion in Crossrail Hunters in a huge class!
MK and White Diamonds were Champion in 2’6” Equitation with some incredible riding by MK under some very tough conditions!
Katie & Pause for Fame were Reserve Champion in 1.0M Training jumpers.
Amelia and Quarter Pounder were Reserve Champion in 2’ jumpers at his very first show and Amelia's very first time showing in jumpers with just a couple of days of practice with Michelle!
Michelle and her beautiful new import, Ooh La La, were Reserve Champion in 2’9” Open Hunter in her very first show. She proved to be calm, relaxed and easy going at a very busy show!
Michelle and Lightly Frosted placed first and second in 3’ Open Hunter over fences.
Sam and A Lacey Remembrance earned a top ribbon in the 2’3” jumpers in an enormous class that went on for 3 hours!
Erin and New York State of Mind earned a top ribbon in Crossrail Hunter in a huge class.

All of our riders really shined at this show and they should all be so proud of their accomplishments! Big thanks goes out to the FCHJA staff for putting on a very safe and well attended show!

Team Fun, Many Firsts, & Ribbons Galore at MSC!

Another great show for the M&M team this past weekend! The ribbons are just the icing on the cake when we have such a wonderful barn family to show with. The tremendous team spirit, sportsmanship and camaraderie among our barn family makes these shows so enjoyable for everyone.

This show marked many firsts! It was the first show for Ellie & Stark in a year, the first time showing in jumpers for Samantha, the first time Lauren showed with Pocket Full of Posies, the first time Amelia and Mary Kate showed at 2'9" and the first time Erin showed with her brand new horse (of only 2 weeks!). But you'd never know it based on how well everyone did!

Mary Kate and White Diamonds were Champion Amateur Hunter 2’9” and Res Champion Amateur Equitation 2’9”. Samantha and A Lacey Remembrance earned Champion in the 2’3” Training Jumper at their very first jumper show! Ellie and Stark were Champion in the .95 jumpers. Lauren and Pocket Full of Posies were Res Champion Beginner Rider X-Rails Hunter and top ribbons In Beginner X-Rails Equitation. Amelia and Lightly Frosted were Res Champion Amateur Hunter 2’9” and top ribbons in Eq. Mark and Confidant were 2,5 in the 2’6” jumpers and second in the Jumper Classic. Erin and New York State of Mind earned ribbons in all classes in their very first show together.

Major Wins in Venice!

What an incredible show we had in Venice this past weekend! Lightly Frosted and Michelle won the National Hunter Derby! Michelle catch rode Robin Cyr’s stallion Renoir to the Starfish Hunter championship. Katie and Hedgerows Fireworks were champion of the medium children’s pony hunters. Amelia and Lightly Frosted were reserve champion in the 2’6”/ 2’9” ch/adult hunters. Mary Kate and Kate with White Diamonds got top ribbons in the same division and the equitation but also won the classic and the medal. Bella and Arc En Ciel also got top ribbons in the same two divisions . Between the trio of girls, we barely left any ribbons! Erin and Chex Who’s Who got top ribbons in the crossrail division. Mark and Confidant moved up to the .95 and learned some tough lessons the first few days, but finished strong with good ribbons in the end. If all that wasn’t enough, we got to celebrate Kate’s birthday too!

What a weekend of ribbons at Horse Shows in the Park "Outer Space" themed show! Hedgerows Fireworks and Katie were Champion both days in the medium child pony hunters and won the classic. Mary Kate and White Diamonds were Reserve Champion in the pre-children’s hunters, third in the classic. Kate and White Diamonds were Reserve Champion in the pre adult hunters. Lightly Frosted and Amelia won the SpaceAlien Derby. Chex Who’s Who and Lauren got top placings in the crossrail hunter and equitation! What a great weekend with our barn family!
